The Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have condemned in no uncertain terms, an allegation being peddled against its Chairman.

The executives say a newspaper publication about its Chairman campaigning against the party's parliamentary candidate in the 2024 elections is nothing but an attempt "to create unnecessary tension and to disintegrate the unity in the party." In a statement issued by the executives and signed by its Spokesperson and General Secretary Tuesday, January 21, 2025, it says the said newspaper has published that the constituency Chairman campaigned 'skirt and blouse' prior to the elections, asking the constituents to vote for President Mahama and the NPP parliamentary candidate.

But according to the constituency leadership, the allegations are a ploy by certain elements within the party to take the wife of the Chairman out of the list of the potential nominees for the MCE.

Augustina Ama Tabua Kwofie, the Chairman's wife, according to the statement, performed outstandingly at the vetting of the MCE aspirants and stands a higher chance of being chosen amongst the final three persons to be submitted to Accra.
