The Member of Parliament of Asawase, , received a gun salute from his security team following the announcement of his appointment as the Minister of the Interior-designate, in President 's cabinet.
In a video posted on X by Graphiconline on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, the lawmaker, dressed in an all-white kaftan and smiling over the news, was seen celebrating his appointment.
His security detail, in a show of respect and celebration, fired about seven rounds of gunshots into the air before proceeding to shake hands and congratulate him.
The video also captured the moment when a middle-aged man, not in uniform, gave the lawmaker a warm hug.
