Ahmed Ibrahim, the Minister-designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, has committed to prioritising the continuation and effective implementation of the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP), should he be confirmed by Parliament.

Launched under the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration, DRIP aims to enhance road networks across districts in Ghana to improve accessibility and stimulate economic development.

Appearing before the Parliamentary Appointments Committee on Tuesday, January 21, Ahmed Ibrahim reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the substantial investment in DRIP does not go to waste.

He stressed the importance of optimising resources and machinery already procured for the programme.
