An American woman, Skylah Leeann Marine Travis, and her Liberian fiancé, Daniel Ireland, have been sentenced to 10 years of hard labour by an Accra Circuit Court for robbing a Bolt driver.

Travis, in tears, apologised to the victim during the trial, saying, "I did not mean to do that; I want to ask for forgiveness." The convict, unemployed, had her sentence deferred until January 10, 2025, pending a pregnancy test, which later came out negative.

The couple was ordered to pay GH¢6,000.00 each as compensation to their victim by January 31, 2025.

Ireland, a graphic designer, was sentenced earlier on January 15, 2025, after pleading guilty to conspiracy, robbery, and causing harm.
