The Asogli Traditional Area is set to launch the 2024 Tezã (Yam festival) on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in Ho. The Traditional Council has already issued a ban on noise-making and funeral activities throughout the Asogli Traditional Area. This is to pave the way for the celebration, as customs demand. As usual, this year's celebration will be marked with numerous entertaining activities, including a football gala, mountain hiking, a health walk, a street carnival, church services, and a public lecture. Attendees will also be treated to performances from traditional warriors, other sports events, a trip to Togo (note), and the hailing of this year's cultivated yam.
