Loudmouth, controversial Ghanaian journalist, Captain Smart, has spoken out against accusations that he incited the youth in Obuasi to engage in violent acts against authorities and AngloGold Ashanti mines.
In a self-recorded video, Captain Smart denied reports of encouraging any form of violence, stating that he did not incite the youth or motivate them to take lawless actions.
Captain Smart clarified that the video, which critics are referencing to link him to the unrest in Obuasi, was recorded in 2023.
He emphasized that his comments were taken out of context and have no connection to the recent clashes between suspected illegal miners and the Ghana Armed Forces in the area."I know I'm the king of the media, and my words go far, but I didn't in any way encourage the youth in Obuasi to engage in violence," he stated.
