Roads and Highways Minister-designate, Governs Kwame Agbodza has assured Ghanaians that one of the priorities under his administration will be to complete all road projects which were abandon for political reasonings.

The Adaklu MP gave the assurance while answering a question from the Bole Bamboi MP, Yusuf Suleman, who inquired from the Minister-designate his plans for abandoned road projects in the country. "For the vivid explanation and very unfortunate situation described by my good colleague, that will be priority number one in terms of completing abandon road projects," Agbodza stated on Monday, January 19.

The Minister-designate also pledged to commit to maintenance of roads in the country. "The principle is that you should spend more on the maintenance of roads than constructing road but the records we have in terms of road maintenance show that things have gone really bad in the past eight years. "The records of road maintenance in 2017 are unmatched to today.

If you check 2023 in areas that we [NDC] do 9000km, NPP government was doing 3000km.
