The Minority in Parliament has issued a warning to withdraw its cooperation if President John Dramani Mahama does not act to rein in what it describes as lawless activities by individuals allegedly linked to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The Minority claims these incidents, including violence and the destruction of state property, occurred after the 2024 elections and were aimed at preventing the Electoral Commission (EC) from declaring the Ablekuma North parliamentary results in favor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking to journalists, Second Deputy Minority Whip Jerry Ahmed Shaib urged the President and the Election Security Taskforce to take decisive action to restore law and order. "To President Mahama, we call on you to take immediate steps to call your party thugs to order.

You cannot pretend to be unaware of all the lawlessness and violence in this country.
