The Chairman of the Ministerial Vetting Committee in Parliament, Benard Ahiafor, has suspended today's sitting following misunderstandings among Members of Parliament (MPs).

The suspension was announced after a prolonged period of heated exchanges between the MPs, which disrupted the proceedings. "I suspend the sitting for five minutes," Chairman Ahiafor declared, as tensions escalated in the room.

The disagreement centred on the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who sought to raise urgent national issues during the ministerial vetting process.

His intention was to use the session to highlight matters he considered critical to the country's welfare.
