The minority in Parliament has called on the president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, to call his party thugs to order in Ablekuma North.

According to the minority in Parliament, the president cannot claim to be unaware of the lawlessness and violence in the country.

To them, the New Patriotic Party lost over 60 seats during the 2024 elections and conceded without violence, and therefore the president must call his people to order.

The calls by the Minority come on the back of an attack on the Greater Accra Regional Office of the Electoral Commission last week when the electoral commission met to finalize the re-collation of the Ablekuma North votes. "The NDC knows that it has lost the Ablekuma North elections and has therefore resorted to violence with the sole aim of preventing the electoral commission from declaring the NPP's candidate, Hon Akua Afriyie as the winner.
