Private legal practitioner Moses Foh-Amoaning has claimed that the failure of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government to pass the anti-LGBTQ bill provoked God's wrath, leading to the NPP's loss in the 2024 general elections.

According to Foh-Amoaning, the Akufo-Addo government's dismissal of efforts by certain members of Parliament who were pushing for a bill to ban LGBTQ practices in Ghana caused God to abandon him.

Speaking during an interview on Onua TV, Foh-Amoaning recalled how former President Nana Akufo-Addo's use of gospel songs during his 2016 campaign rallies earned him favor with God and contributed to his victory in that election. "I'm not the one who told the president to use gospel songs to campaign, but when he did, we all saw the margin of victory.

I admire a man who loves God, so I started supporting him, and God fortified him.
