Member of Parliament for Manso Nkwanta, Tweneboah Kodua Fokuo, has expressed his support for the privatisation of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
He also advocated for private Ghanaian entities to hold shares in the company to ensure the interests of Ghanaians are adequately represented.
Speaking on The Big Issue on Saturday, January 18, 2025, Fokuo emphasised the need for clarity on the specific aspects of ECG to be privatised.
He argued that privatisation is the best solution to address the company's inefficiencies and shortcomings. "We have always taken the stance that privatisation is the way for ECG.
