The Acting Director-General of the National Lotteries Authority (NLA), Mohammed Abdul Salam, has called for unity and a professional focus within the institution, emphasising that service to the nation should rise above political affiliations.

During a formal address to introduce himself to the NLA staff, Mohammed Abdul Salam urged his team to align their efforts towards achieving the organization's goals.

He clarified that his leadership would prioritise inclusivity and equal service for all, regardless of political affiliations. "Yes, the (NDC) is in power, and my appointment came through the government. "However, my mandate here is not to serve one group of people but everyone," he stated, setting a tone of impartiality and commitment to public service.

He also discouraged political discussions during office hours, asserting that such conversations could detract from the institution's core mission. "Let us leave political matters outside the office.
