The United Press for Development Network (UPDN), an advocate for press freedom and justice, has officially petitioned President John Dramani Mahama on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the tragic murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale.

Ahmed, a member of Anas Aremeyaw Anas' Tiger Eye PI team, was brutally shot near his residence in Madina, Accra, on January 16, 2019.

In their petition, delivered to the Office of the President on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, UPDN called for immediate actions to honor Ahmed's memory and ensure justice: 1.
