Ghanaian journalist and editor of The Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt, has expressed concerns about President John Dramani Mahama's recent comments on the National Cathedral during the Thanksgiving service organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana with Randy Abbey monitored by MyNewsGH, Pratt emphasized his agreement with the directive to investigate the funding of the National Cathedral project. "I cannot have any quarrel with his announcement that investigations into the funding of the project will be carried out.
That is a directive from the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice, and his government is expected to carry out that investigation," he remarked.
However, Pratt was critical of the president's suggestions about the state's involvement in the future construction of the cathedral.
