A police constable and three Community Assistance Police officers were brutally attacked by a mob on 15 January 2025 at Akrofuom, Obuasi, while trying to arrest a suspect, Sibuba, accused of threatening harm.
The officers, including G/Constable Solomon Okyere and community police officers Emmanuel Arhin, Alfred Danso, and Frank Owusu Afriyie, had visited Sibuba's residence to apprehend him.
The suspect requested to make a phone call to inform his family, which the officers permitted.
Shortly after, a group of about 50 armed thugs arrived and attacked the officers.
