IMANI Boss Franklin Cudjoe Founding President of IMANI Africa Franklin has welcomed the pledge by the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to govern with fifty ministers if he wins this year's general elections. Dr Bawumia while, speaking at the NPP's manifesto launch in Takoradi on Sunday, August 18, stated that efficient governance does not require a large number of ministers. "I will have no more than 50 ministers in my government," Dr. Bawumia stated, highlighting his commitment to streamlining the government's structure. He further stated that "My government will move towards leasing rather than outright purchase of goods such as vehicles, printing equipment, and so on.  The private sector will have the responsibility for maintaining the equipment. With this approach, the budget can save a very significant amount of outright cash expenditure annually from various items across the Ministries." Reacting to this in a Facebook post, Franklin Cudjoe said "DMB admits economic challenges but falls short of acknowledging the role his government's fiscal recklessness contributed to the atrophy "It is not true that unemployment rate was higher in 2016 than now.
