Speaking during a panel discussion on the Good Morning Ghana programme on January 16, 2024, Dafeamekpor said that in just one day, the 8-bedroom house he had used all his sweat to build was destroyed.
He said that he took the government to court, and after eight years, the government has neither been able to prove that his structure was illegal nor that the land it was built on was not his.
He added that the military men and the military vehicle that transported them to destroy his house have been disowned by the army. "In 2017, I acquired land from chiefs of Adenta that I had done legal work for, and they assigned it to me, properly registered.
