The Member of Parliament of South Dayi, , recommended for his colleague MP of North Tongu, , be honored with the Order of the Star of Ghana award for his significant contributions to the country.

According to Dafeamekpor, Ablakwa deserves the award, particularly highlighting his exposés on the National Cathedral project, including the revelation of a GH¢2.6 million payment made to a company called JNS Talent Centre Limited, owned by Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.

In a tweet shared on Monday, January 16, 2023, Dafeamekpor said that Ablakwa must be given the nation's highest civilian award for his service to the country. "For his latest scintillating addendum to the many National Cathedral scandals he has given us, my senior, the Hon Okudzeto Ablakwa deserves an Order of the Volta/Order of the Star of Ghana, Civil Division," parts of his tweet read.
