The Eastern Regional Women's Wing of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed heartfelt gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and Vice-President Prof.
Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for nominating Mrs.
Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey as Eastern Regional Minister.
In a statement signed by Shirley Naana Osei Ampem, the Eastern Regional NDC Women's Organizer, the wing celebrated the appointment as a testament to the party's unwavering commitment to advancing women's participation in politics and bridging the gender gap through the implementation of the Affirmative Action Act, 2024.
