The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) has confirmed ongoing efforts to resolve the current fuel shortages affecting some regions in the country.

This follows the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) warning of a potential fuel shortage in the coming days.

The Chamber attributes this looming crisis to the suspension of the gold-for-oil programme and the operational halt of Sentuo Oil's refining activities.

Speaking in an interview on Eyewitness News on Citi FM on Wednesday, Duncan Amoah, the Executive Secretary of COPEC, addressed the situation, revealing that significant measures are being taken to rectify the issue.
