The Minority in Parliament has strongly opposed the proposal by the Attorney General Designate, Dr Dominic Ayine, to establish Public Tribunals.

According to the Minority, there is no need for such tribunals, as the existing High Courts are fully capable of handling the nation's judicial needs.

The Minority questioned the rationale behind the creation of Public Tribunals during a presser in Accra on Wednesday, asking, "Mr Attorney General Designate, why the Public Tribunal?

What is our High Court not doing right, necessitating the creation of the Public Tribunal?" They highlighted that in the last eight years, 110 new courts have been created through the District Assembly Common Fund, demonstrating that the issue is not a lack of courts.
