Rev.
Stephen Wengam, the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, addressed the role of pastors in political affairs during an interview on TV3's Hot Issues, monitored by MyNewsGh.
He emphasized the importance of ethical behaviour, saying, "Political candidates should surround themselves with pastors rather than consult demons or spirits.
This nation should not be handed over to Satan." He acknowledged that pastors often provide counsel to political leaders but insisted that they must maintain ethical boundaries. "I don't preach politics from the pulpit," he added, stressing that prophecy should not be used to influence voters.
