The Chairman of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) International, Apostle Samuel Amponsah-Frimpong, has called on the President, , to tackle the pressing environmental issues affecting water bodies and the forest cover in order to ensure a sustainable future for the nation.
He made the call at the end of a three-day annual Ministerial Prayer Conference of the church held at the Anim Temple at Anum Asamankese in the Eastern region last Friday.
Apostle Amponsah-Frimpong congratulated President Mahama for his decisive victory in the presidential election and a successful inaugural ceremony.
The chairman of the church commended the Electoral Commission, the security agencies, and all stakeholders for their tireless efforts in ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process. "We also congratulate the immediate past President of the Republic of Ghana, , for his gracious and seamless transition of power to the elected President, demonstrating a high sense of statesmanship and commitment to the democratic principles of our beloved nation," he indicated.
