Clement Akoloh, Communications Officer of the Parliamentary Network Africa (PNAfrica), has praised the performance of ministerial nominees Cassiel Ato Forson, John Abdulai Jinapor, and Dominic Akuritinga Ayine during their vetting session on January 13, 2025.
S peaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show, Akoloh lauded their composure and ability to respond to challenging questions. "It was up to the members of parliament who were part of the committee to actually bring out all there is in the members who have been nominated," Akoloh remarked.
He emphasized that the vetting process is not only a test of knowledge but also a measure of character. "Some of these exercises are supposed to also test the character of the people, how they respond to questions, and how they deal with some awkward situations." The nominees, designated for the portfolios of Finance, Energy, and Justice, faced intense questioning regarding their plans for Ghana's economic challenges, energy reforms, and judicial improvements.
Akoloh highlighted the importance of such scrutiny, saying, "By their actions and the way they answer the questions, we get to see whether they are really up to the task.
