The vandalisation of former President 's statue at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi made international news headlines.
Unknown individuals completely destroyed the statue on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Before the destruction of the statue, residents of Sekondi had threatened to have it moved because the former president had done nothing for them to merit the erection of the statue in their community.
