The Kumasi City Market Traders Union has initiated proactive measures to protect the market from potential fire outbreaks, following a series of recent fire incidents in other parts of the country.
The union, representing a significant portion of traders within the Kumasi City Market, expressed its sympathy to the victims of the recent fires, particularly those affected by the devastating Kantamanto Market fire. "We stand in solidarity with our fellow traders and market stakeholders and share their pain and loss," the union stated.
Recognizing the importance of market safety, the union has taken proactive steps to enhance security measures.
The union has formally engaged with the Ashanti Regional Police Command to strengthen security within and around the market.
