GLICO General Insurance Company Limited has donated medical supplies and a cash amount of GH¢40,000 to the Tema General Hospital to pay for the medical expenses of some patients.
The gesture is to improve the quality of care for patients requiring intensive medical attention, particularly those in need of respiratory support.
Presenting the items at the hospital last Friday, the Managing Director of GLICO General, Andrew Achampong-Kyei, expressed the company's dedication to social responsibility. "As a company, we understand the importance of healthcare in the lives of Ghanaians, and we are proud to contribute in a meaningful way," he stated.
Mr Achampong-Kyei indicated that the suction machines would support the hospital in its life-saving work, and the financial assistance would ease the burden on patients facing financial difficulties. "With the festive season upon us, it's important for everyone to join their families and celebrate together.
