The Chairman of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) International, Apostle Samuel Amponsah-Frimpong, has called on the President, John Dramani Mahama, to tackle the pressing environmental issues affecting water bodies and the forest cover in order to ensure a sustainable future for the nation.
He made the call at the end of a three -day annual Ministerial Prayer Conference of the church held at the Anim Temple at Anum Asamankese in the Eastern region on last Friday.
Apostle Amponsah-Frimpong congratulated President Mahama for his decisive victory in the presidential election and a successful inaugural ceremony.
The chairman of the church commended the Electoral Commission, the security agencies, and all stakeholders for their tireless efforts in ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process. "We also congratulate the immediate past President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, for his gracious and seamless transition of power to the elected President, demonstrating a high sense of statesmanship and commitment to the democratic principles of our beloved nation," he indicated.
