The Chairman of the Christ Apostol­ic Church (CAC) International, Apostle Samuel Amponsah-Frim­pong, has called on the President, John Dramani Mahama, to tackle the pressing environmental issues affecting water bodies and the forest cover in order to ensure a sustainable future for the nation.

He made the call at the end of a three -day annual Ministerial Prayer Conference of the church held at the Anim Temple at Anum Asamankese in the Eastern region on last Friday.

Apostle Amponsah-Frimpong congratulated President Mahama for his decisive victory in the pres­idential election and a successful inaugural ceremony.

The chairman of the church commended the Electoral Com­mission, the security agencies, and all stakeholders for their tireless efforts in ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process. "We also congratulate the imme­diate past President of the Repub­lic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, for his gracious and seamless transition of power to the elected President, demonstrating a high sense of statesmanship and commitment to the democratic principles of our beloved nation," he indicated.
