The President and Founder of Christ Mission Church International (CMCI), Reverend Dr Divine Amartey, has urged the youth to prioritise career development over all other considerations if they were to remain relevant to national devel­opment.

In line with this, he said the youth must seek to discourage all acts that had the potential to promote violence and increase unemployment in the country.

In his New Year message con­tained in a speech copied to the Ghanaian Times on Tuesday, he encouraged the youth, especially christians to place their trust in God, while recognising that "God is with us." Reverend Amartey emphasised that just as a house is only built with God's guidance, every suc­cessful endeavour required divine intervention, adding that "Except the Lord build the house, the labourers labour in vain." The church leader also stressed the inevitability and importance of tests in life.
