President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to restoring peace in the conflict-prone town of Bawku, emphasising that it remains his highest priority.

Speaking during a visit to Bawku on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, President Mahama expressed gratitude to the residents for their support in the recent elections and reiterated his campaign promise to address the long-standing conflict in the area.

The President noted that his choice to visit Bawku as his first major assignment outside the capital since being sworn in underscored the importance of the issue to his administration. "God granted our heart desire, and I got elected.
