Samuel Dubik Mahama, former managing director of the Electricity Company of Ghana, has stated that the ECG's problem is totally financial.
According to him, the electricity is bought in dollars and sold in Ghanaian cedis, and that makes it very difficult for ECG, as they make some losses as a result of the forex changes along the line.
He is of the view that the problems must not be placed at the doorstep of just utility when forex plays a key role.
The former Managing Director for ECG was speaking on Agenda on Accra-based TV3 when he made this known. "What I want to say is the problem is totally financial.
