The Minority Leader, , has criticised the -led government of attempting to shift blame for a looming power crisis onto the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration.
Speaking during the vetting of Minister of Energy-designate, Dr.
John Abdulai Jinapor, at Parliament on Monday, January 13, 2025, he expressed concerns over the blame games. "It is deeply concerning that the new administration is attempting to shift blame for the so-called looming power crisis onto the previous government when the record clearly reflects that the outgoing administration, despite challenges, managed to maintain a stable and reliable power supply," he remarked.
Afenyo-Markin recalled the power crisis under the previous NDC government, noting its devastating impact on businesses nationwide. "I have said this with utmost confidence and conviction, drawing from my experience as Chair of the ECG Board.
