Finance Minister-designate, Cassiel Ato Forson is of the view that the existence of E-levy harms the country's progress towards a cashlite economy.

According to him, it is non-negotiable that the E-Levy be abolished within the 120 days promised by the John Dramani Mahama-led government.

Ato Foson sees E-levy as harm to Ghana's drive towards a cashlite economy even though he knows that e-levy rakes in some revenue for the governing the country.

Ato Forson who made this known while being vetted said "I've written articles against E-levy, I championed the opposition against E-levy and I stand by them.
