Sulley Sambian, the Acting Chief Executive Officer, stated that some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who claim deep loyalty to the party and a commitment to protecting the public from state theft, are the very individuals who opposed him when he uncovered misconduct at the Northern Development Authority.

This misconduct involved the disappearance of 24 motorbikes, which he subsequently reported to law enforcement.

The theft of motorbikes, Sambian explained, came to light shortly after he assumed office in March 2023. "When I took over, the storekeeper had vacated their post, leaving a staff member to act in their stead.

Upon a directive from the Board to take stock of assets, it became evident that several motorbikes were unaccounted for," he recounted.
