Boakye Agyarko has issued a stirring call to action following what he describes as the most sobering defeat in the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) history.
Reflecting on the aftermath of the December 2024 elections, the former minister emphasized the urgent need for unity, perseverance, and collective action to rebuild the party's strength. "We have come home from a 'bloody war' and with sunken hearts," he stated, lamenting the election results. "There is no disguising, by whatever means, the extent of this debacle.
We managed to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory." Agyarko did not mince words about the gravity of the situation, describing the outcome as ignominious and urging party members not to assign any false sense of victory to their defeat.
The tone of his message was both reflective and motivational, highlighting the challenges ahead. "As Winston Churchill profoundly put it, it is going to require of us 'blood, toil, tears, and sweat,' nothing less will do," he declared.
