The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has issued a disclaimer addressing recent reports of alleged unlawful actions by certain police officers claiming to be acting on behalf of the Office of the President.

In a signed statement dated Saturday, January 4, 2025, and addressed to the public and all media houses, Ashie Moore stated that his attention had been drawn to incidents involving police officers seizing vehicles belonging to public officers and unlawfully invading government establishments and warehouses in the Greater Accra Region.

The statement identified Ebenezer Mortey (Service Number: 58283), Bright Opoku Agyei (Service Number: 58551), and Appiah Degraft (Service Number: 53631) as the three police personnel allegedly involved in the acts.

Ashie Moore emphasised that no directive had been issued from the Office of the President or the NDC's hierarchy authorising such actions.
