National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Ayesu Ntim has said that although Ghana was not out of the woods yet, significant progress had been made. He said the country is on the right path. Speaking at the manifesto launch on August 18, he said "Under the visionary leadership of the president, Ghana has risen from the brink of despair. We are on the right path, from where I sit, acknowledged that although Ghana was not out of the woods yet, significant progress had been made. and have embarked on far-reaching institutional reforms for good and accountable governance within a stable democratic society." For his part, former President John Agyekum Kufuor pleaded with Ghanaians to vote for the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
