President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has dissolved all statutory boards, commissions, and councils appointed by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
A statement from the Presidency signed by Acting Spokesperson Felix Ofosu Kwakye said members of these boards ceased to be board members on January 7 after John Dramani Mahama was sworn into office.
However, the dissolution does not affect independent constitutional creations.
Meanwhile, management of state institutions without boards is directed to seek clearance from the Chief of Staff before making major decisions.
