The statue of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo close to the Effia Nkwanta Hospital has been vandalized.
It is not clear who was involved in this vandalism, but the entire statue has been toppled and destroyed, with the head to the knee level smashed.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was heavily criticized after the statue was put up because his government did not fulfil its numerous promises to the people of the Western Region.
