President John Dramani Mahama has attributed his decisive victory in the December 7, 2024, general elections to divine intervention and the collective prayers of Ghanaians.

Speaking at a Christian National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), the President emphasised the role of faith in his political journey and called for a unified effort to rebuild Ghana.

The thanksgiving service, attended by religious leaders, government officials, and citizens from diverse backgrounds, served as a moment of reflection and gratitude for the peaceful and successful electoral process.

The president also expressed profound gratitude to Ghanaians who, despite their differences, turned to prayer and placed their trust in divine guidance during the election period. "This victory is not ours alone, it is a victory of a nation united in faith and in hope.
