President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has hinted at a change of site for the National Cathedral if a consensus is reached on building the Cathedral.
According to him, the country is currently at a crossroads with its economy; however, if there is a reconsideration on building the project, the country will have a lesser figure than what the former government estimated for the building of the project.
However, if there is any reconsideration of the project, which is now a hole in the middle of Accra, there may be a change in the site selected.
The President was speaking at the ongoing National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service. "The current circumstances that Ghana is going through, it makes no sense to achieve such a project at a whooping sum of $400 million.
