The acting spokeswoman for the presidency, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has emphasized the urgency behind the president's swift actions, pointing to the pressing economic and security challenges the country is grappling with in an interview on Starr FM. "Even before President Mahama took over, he had been taking steps to ensure that, once in office, a functional government would be in place," Kwakye Ofosu stated.

He went on to outline the steps taken by Mahama to get his administration up and running, including the announcement of the ORAL team and the appointment of a security team.

In addition, the president has already nominated three ministers and has plans to announce more in the coming days. "His aim is to form his government as quickly as possible," Kwakye Ofosu noted.

The urgency in assembling the government is a direct response to the myriad of challenges facing the country.
