Ghana's sports administration has undergone a significant restructuring, with the new government separating the Ministry of Youth and Sports into two standalone entities.
The decision, made under Section 11 (3) of the Civil Service Act, 1993 (P.N.D.C.
Law 327), was announced on Saturday by President John Dramani Mahama.
The newly formed Ministry of Sports and Recreation will oversee the country's sports sector, while the youth sector will now be managed independently as the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment.
