President John Mahama has addressed growing concerns regarding the actions of some of his party's youth in the aftermath of the election victory.
Reflecting on the sacrifices made by many young supporters, Mahama acknowledged their contributions to the party's success but stressed the need for responsible action moving forward. "I know that many of our youth sacrificed a lot to help the party win," Mahama said, his voice resolute. "But I also know that our regional and constituency executives know who contributed to our victory.
What they must do now is compile a list of these individuals and explore ways to engage their youthful energies once things settle," he said during a Presidential Dinner on January 8, 2025.
The president's comments came in the wake of reports of some youth taking the law into their own hands, allegedly seizing goods from warehouses or disrupting local systems.
