The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians, party supporters, and religious leaders for their prayers and contributions that led to the party's electoral victory on December 7, 2024.
Speaking at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving (Muslim Prayers) on Friday, January 10, Mr Kwetey emphasised the significance of the victory, describing it as not merely a political win but a spiritual triumph for Ghana. "We want to thank you on behalf of the great NDC for all the hard work all of you put in - your prayers, the assistance that we got from you that delivered the great victory that we had on December 7," he said.
Acknowledging the role of divine intervention, Mr Kwetey stressed the importance of continued prayers and guidance as the government embarks on its agenda under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang. "We fully know that in the same way, God's hand has been mighty in delivering that victory, the same way it is important for us to continue acknowledging and seeking His guidance through the initial stages of our government, all the way to the four-year mandate of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama," he stated.
Mr Kwetey highlighted the crucial task of assembling a competent team to support the administration, likening the process to forming a football team where every member must be strategically positioned for success. "Mistakes can be made, and once those mistakes are made, it can cause us so we need your prayers.
