The 2009 Black Satellites, Ghana's historic U-20 World Cup-winning team, have been invited to collect matured investment cheques following the completion of a 15-year investment made on their behalf. SAS Finance Group, responsible for managing the funds, notified the Ghana Football Association about the availability of the cheques for the 21 players of the victorious squad.The investment, which was made in 2009 by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has now matured as of January 4, 2025.
A total of GH₵210,000 was invested, with each player receiving GH₵10,000.
SAS Finance Group confirmed that the players can start collecting their cheques from their office in Accra, located on the 14th floor of the World Trade Centre, Independence Avenue, from January 8, 2025.
In order to collect their cheques, players are required to present a valid Ghana Card for identification.
