The Electoral Commission of Ghana has officially released the accurate results for John Dramani Mahama and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 presidential elections, following the compilation of data from 275 out of 276 constituencies.
Mahama, representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC), secured 56.42% of the valid votes, defeating his closest rival, Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who received 41.75%.
The final vote count saw Mahama earning 6,591,790 votes, while Bawumia garnered 4,877,611 votes.
This victory marks Mahama's return to the presidency after stepping down in 2017.
