PV Jantuah Dadson, a former presidential aide during John Dramani Mahama's administration, has shared his insights during a discussion with media personality Akoto Mansa.

The conversation centred on the outcome of the recent presidential and parliamentary elections and the political trajectory of former President Mahama.

Akoto Mansa began the dialogue with a note of congratulations. "Your party's return to governance is commendable," she said, before delving into a thought-provoking question. "Would you attribute this success to the effectiveness of your campaign, or do you think the New Patriotic Party simply handed over the reins by their shortcomings?" Jantuah Dadson responded with characteristic humility. "The truth is," he began, "neither of our major political parties can claim to have ascended to power purely by their achievements.

More often than not, it is the failures of the ruling party that drive voters to make a change." He also noted that this dynamic has remained constant over Ghana's democratic journey.
