President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to prioritize the enactment of a comprehensive code of conduct for public servants as part of his administration's efforts to promote accountability, integrity, and enhanced service delivery.

The initiative forms a key component of his broader strategy to tackle corruption and misconduct within public office.

Speaking at the 92nd Annual National Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Winneba on Thursday, January 9, 2025, President Mahama also announced plans to conduct a thorough audit of state-owned enterprises to evaluate their performance and ensure efficiency in their operations. "We shall pass a code of conduct for our officeholders, and they will strictly abide by that code of conduct.

We shall carry out a comprehensive audit to establish the status of our state-owned enterprises." He reaffirmed his commitment to operationalise Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL). "We shall operationalise Operation Recover All Loot and investigate individuals we believe have engaged in the misappropriation of public property, pursuing them to recover such assets." The Code of Conduct for public officials in the country delineates the values, principles, and standards that define acceptable ethical behaviour and conduct.
